An Italian Welcome for a truly authentic Italian Meal

My husband and I took my daughter and our 5 month old granddaughter out for dinner. Wow. We were warmly welcomed & greeted, baby gear and all. When the staff (all Italian), realized my husband was Italian they all started chatting and sharing anecdotes as they skillfully worked around our needs with the baby & our diverse desires for dinner. From antipasti to dolci our every request ( made with even a quick glance) was immediately responded to. Chestnut Ravioli, PROPERLY PREPARED carbonara, wines, tiramisu and more was perfect. We were at the restaurant in the middle of the Chinese New Year, so traffic and neighborhood activity was at an incredible high, but every member of the staff made a point of making us feel a part of the neighborhood. It was hard to leave... Don't miss this one...

Great fun great food

The place was fun and loud, the food and menu was quite good, the staff were truly Roman, and the service was attentive.

The calamari was pretty typical and nothing mind blowing. The scallops were nicely seasoned and appropriately cooked...they rested in a flavorful, bread worthy broth. Unfortunately, the Pappardelle al Ragu was a bit flat and under seasoned, but still not bad. I really enjoyed, however, the Mezzi Rigatoni “Braccio di Ferro”...a spinach infused cream sauce, it was great. Both pastas were perfectly al dente. The lamb chops were beautifully presented, appropriately seasoned, and evenly cooked to a nice medium temp...very good. The prosciutto stuffed chicken was also very good from top to bottom...eyes to the mouth. The tiramisu and orange tiramisu were quite enjoyable, but not necessarily super memorable.

Overall, we had an excellent time with friends. We’ll definitely come back soon.

Are you looking for some fun with your meal?

This place is loud and boisterous with the waiters shouting orders and laughing and kidding. If you are looking for a quiet meal you need to go somewhere else. The food was good but not outstanding. I will go back just for the fun of it.
